Want to test and stretch your pupils in a fun and competitive way?!
'So you think you know' is a fun and exciting game designed for the classroom!
The game revises all aspects of:
1. Issues of Relationships
2. Issues of Good and Evil
3. Issues of Life and Death
4. Issues of Human Rights
All you need to play this game are the resources attached. However, you could UP the challenge by using a 4-sided dice!
In total, the resource includes 195 differentiated questions - of varying challenge, for pupils to choose independently or team up to answer. (I also use the question cards for intervention/extra revision sessions) with the pupils. Questions and topic (stated via a logo, e.g. heart for Issues of Relationships unit) are on one side and suggested answer(s) are on the reverse - though I appreciate that in RS there is never usually only one correct answer!
The rules of the game are below, but they are also on the accompanying PPT.
Before we start, you’ll need to know the rules! So here they are:
The player with the nearest birthday comes first
Their team chooses a container from which to draw the question or (for advanced teams) plays roll the 4-sided die and draw the corresponding question!
The team has 20 seconds to answer the question correctly to win the points
If, after 20 seconds, the team has not answered correctly, the question goes to ALL PLAY and anyone can win the points!
The team with the most points at the end of the game, wins!
However:
Each team has a ‘PASS’ card, which they can use on any question. This passes the question to another team of their choice who MUST get it right, otherwise they lose 20 points! If they get it right they do not lose any (or gain any!) points!
You can use a PASS card to ‘pass’ again to the original team or another team!
Each team has a ‘CLUE’ card, which they can use on any question. This allows the team 1 clue to help them get the correct answer.
Blank question cards are also included for you to add your own / differentiate specifically for your pupils.
Happy teaching!
